The 150-member chapter meets the second Tuesday of each month, September through May, at The Racquet Club of Philadelphia. They begin with a social hour at 5:30, followed by a dinner and guest speaker or panel discussion. The chapter underwrites dinner expenses for IR students and provides a speakers’ bureau to local colleges and universities. Affiliated with National LERA.
The Philadelphia Chapter of LERA has approximately 150 members and meets the second Tuesday of every month from October through May at The Racquet Club of Philadelphia. In recent years, the Philadelphia Chapter has presented such distinguished and nationally recognized speakers as Wilma Liebman, former Chairman of the National Labor Relations Board, Steve Greenhouse, author and labor and workplace correspondent for The New York Times, Andrew Stern, former President of the Service Employees International Union, George Cohen, Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, and Ron Gettlefinger, former International President of the United Auto Workers.
