Join your Award-Winning LERA-Atlanta Chapter members to hear from Major League Baseball Players Association's David Prouty on what goes on at the MLBPA, current “hot topics” in baseball, and on being an effective union regarding grievance and arbitration procedures. 

 

The Major League Baseball Players Association is the collective bargaining representative for all professional baseball players of the thirty Major League baseball teams and serves as the exclusive group licensing agent for commercial and licensing activities involving active Major League baseball players. On behalf of its members, it operates the Players Choice group licensing program and Players Choice Awards, as well as the Major League Baseball Players Trust (www.PlayersTrust.org ), a charitable foundation benefiting the needy that was established and is run by Major League Baseball Players.

Galina Alexeenko serves as the Director of the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank’s Regional Economic Information Network.  She will provide an overview of the Fed’s view on the economic outlook for the United States and the Southeast.  The Federal Reserve Board is responsible for establishing policies that promote economic growth and employment and while maintaining a low inflation rate to protect  purchasing power and real wages.

2017 Georgia Labor Management Conference

The 2017 Georgia Labor Management Confernce is scheduled to be held Tuesday-Friday, June 20-23, 2017 at Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa in Young Harris, Georgia.

LERA – Atlanta Chapter

The Atlanta Chapter of LERA meets four times a year.

The award-winning Atlanta Chapter's program year is September – August. Annual dues are $60. Cost of each luncheon is $35, or you can combine dues and payment for four luncheons for $200.

The LERA-Atlanta Chapter and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) co-sponsor the annual Georgia Labor Management Conference. Registration and more information for the Georgia Labor Management Conference are available at galmc.org.
